DONATED EQUIPMENT–Recently, Southwestern Illinois College donated a Haas Super Mini Mill to the Red Bud High School industrial arts program. Pictured last week with the mill are: Mason Cowell, Adam Siegfried, RBHS Industrial Arts Instructor Jared Piel, Tate Ford, Jack Muench, SWIC Precision Machining Instructor Jerry Bonifield and Garrett Mudd.

The partnership with Red Bud High School and Southwestern Illinois College continues to grow, as the college recently donated another piece of specialized equipment to the high school’s industrial arts department.

Jerry Bonifield, a precision machining instructor at SWIC, was at the high school last week setting up the donated Haas Super Mini Mill.

The Haas website notes, “Haas Mini Mills are the industry standard for compact machining centers. They are perfect for schools, start-up shops, or as a first step into CNC machining.”

For more on the new equipment, please see this week’s print edition.
