Cody Strong of Red Bud received national recognition and a medal at the SkillsUSA National Championships held last month in Atlanta, Georgia.
A second year collision repair student at Career Center of Southern Illinois (CCSI), Strong took third place at the national event in the collision repair technology division.
To get to the national championships, he first had to compete at the state level event, which was held in Peoria in April.
