On Jan. 20, the boys traveled to Sparta were they would be all week playing in the annual Mid Winter Classic.
They started pool play facing the Panthers of Pinckneyville. It was a slow start to the game, but the Musketeers got a bucket first. That didn’t hurt Pinckneyville as they went on and made multiple buckets and three pointers. At the half they led the Teers 41-14. Pinckneyville continued to score and the Musketeers dropped this one 59-38.
Moving on, the boys played Marissa-Coulterville the next evening. The Teers came out flat letting Marissa score a few easy buckets and a 3 or two, but they fought back and started to get after it, taking the lead at the half 31-25.
