The Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association (SIJHSAA) recently held regional events for both track and golf.
Numerous junior high students from local schools all advanced from regionals to their respective state competitions.
For track, Red Bud Elementary advanced four – Reaghan Tallman, Gracie Rahn, Aiden Eisenmann and Ryan Murphy; Evansville Attendance Center advanced two – Kaylee Kempfer and Ella Walter; Prairie du Rocher advanced one – Adam Walker; and St. John the Baptist Catholic School advanced one – Liam Ohlau.
For golf, Red Bud Elementary advanced both their girls and boys teams; St. John’s Lutheran advanced their boys team; and St. John the Baptist Catholic School advanced Lance Nottmeier as an individual.
