On Jan. 23, Col. Michael Rellick, 635th Supply Chain Operations Wing (SCOW) Group commander, inducted Red Bud Mayor Susan Harbaugh as the 635 SCOW’s honorary commander during Team Scott’s Class of 2027 induction ceremony. It was announced earlier this year that Harbaugh was one of 20 community leaders selected for Scott Air Force Base’s Team Scott Class of Honorary Commanders. This program provides a two year, in-depth orientation to the missions, programs and assets of Scott Air Force Base. The program aims to educate and increase community leaders’ knowledge and understanding of the military and the installation, by matching each honorary commander with a military counterpart to build one-on-one rapport and facilitate direct engagement with base units. Units across the base participating alongside the 375th Air Mobility Wing include the Army’s Transportation Command, the 932nd Airlift Wing (Reserve), the 635th Supply Chain Operations Wing, the 345th Recruiting Squadron, and the 15th Operational Weather Squadron.
