Hearing in Baldwin focused on plans for grant funding

Two meetings were held at the Baldwin Village Hall on Wednesday, April 5.

The first was a public hearing. Village President Virgil Chandler explained that the hearing was to get public commentary on how the village should best use the $53,036 they are receiving through an Energy Community Transition grant.

He added that the village has been applying for grants to help fund three different projects: rebuilding Fifth Street, a sewer upgrade and water tower rehabilitation. This grant can be applied to one of these projects.
