A change in village clerks and an update on the policing situation was given at the April 10 Evansville Village Board meeting.

That night Nancy Schilling was retiring as the village’s clerk. She had been appointed to fill the empty position of village clerk back in May 2021 as the clerk at the time, Bethany Wunderlich, had not run for reelection.

Schilling has served the village for almost 40 years in various positions, including as trustee, treasurer and clerk.
