Last week, the Red Bud School Board held a brief special meeting and a regular meeting, welcoming a new board member.
Superintendent Jonathan Tallman noted that the special meeting, held on April 15, was a reorganization meeting, as required following the consolidated election.
At that meeting, the board voted to retain the same officers, keeping Todd Birkner as president, Diane Schoenbeck as vice president and Carol Harms as secretary.
In addition, as there was a vacancy on the board due to Rick Stenzel not seeking re-election, the board appointed Dale Burmester to that open spot.
