Opening day for the varsity baseball team was Tuesday against Valmeyer.
The team is returning four starters including seniors Derek Whelan, Cadin Voss, Trent Sternberg and Lucas Schwartzkopf.
“Derek Whelan will be our ace for the second year in a row,” said Coach David Lucht.
“Others competing for starting spots include Brayden Schlesinger, Tyson Bohnert, Colby Voss and Blake Henry. In the bullpen, Trent Sternberg will lead the relief corp, along with Landon Ruebusch, Seth Hohgrefe, Nolan Schneider and Lucas McCarthy,” added Lucht.
