On Tuesday, April 29, around 1:30 p.m., and during both a thunderstorm and tornado warning for most of Randolph County, first responders were called out to Roeslein’s Red Bud facility for a reported roof collapse.
Responding agencies included: Red Bud Fire Department, MedStar, Red Bud Police, Red Bud Utility Department, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, Randolph County Emergency Management Agency and the Illinois State Police.
At the scene it was noted that the roof had collapsed in the main shop area. In addition there was a possible gas leak and that there was water geysering from a break. But no injuries were noted and all employees were accounted for.
