Proposed enhancements to the high school’s football field and track were discussed at the Jan. 18 Red Bud Board of Education meeting.
Laura Weber with GRP noted she had been in discussions with the district concerning the football field and track, as well as the needs and issues associated with them.
The big issue with the football field is the shape of it and the loss of the field’s crown with runoff and irrigation issues. For the track, the biggest issue is that there is lots of loose gravel that is eating up the surface of the track, and there is also not a straightaway at the finish line.
