While not discussed during Monday night’s meeting, the Red Bud City Council approved of some big purchases for the police department on the evening’s consent agenda.
First was the purchase of a Dodge Durango pursuit vehicle from Ed Morse. The cost was $43,081, which does not include the police equipment. It was noted at the October committee meetings that this vehicle had been budgeted for. The new vehicle is expected to arrive in February.
The other big purchase for the police department was seven Tasers from Axon Enterprise
