RB Council recognizes Girl Scout Week, discusses personnel matters

CELEBRATE GIRL SCOUT WEEK–At Monday night’s council meeting, Red Bud Mayor Susan Harbaugh signed a proclamation declaring the week of March 12-18 as Girl Scout Week. Several Girl Scouts from troops in Service Unit 57 – Randolph County North were in attendance at the meeting and are pictured with the city council.

Some personnel matters and recognizing Girl Scout Week were the big topics at Monday night’s Red Bud City Council meeting.

After finding out some additional information since the February committee meetings, the 12 percent pay increase for the utility office clerk and the utility billing clerk was tabled.

Bringing up the matter, Alderman Jeremy DeMond noted that the proposed raise would “significantly impact other city contracts.” He stated that the council needs to review the impacts and suggested tabling the matter until next month.
