Randolph voters conflicted on behavioral care center vote

Peters wins sheriff’s spot

Despite not much local competition on the primary ballots, voters still turned out to cast their ballots on Tuesday, June 28.

While the absentee ballots are not yet counted, these are the unofficial results as reported by the voting precincts in Randolph and Monroe Counties as of 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Issue wise, the biggest on the Randolph County ballots was an advisory question and a referendum question, both concerning the future of the Randolph County Care Center. The votes on both came out pretty close, but voters did not approve of both.
