Randolph County has less than 20 active cases

Overall the metrics continue to keep getting better for the local area.

On Feb. 16, Randolph County Health Department Administrator Angela Oathout reported that there were only 19 active COVID-19 cases in the county.

The last time Randolph County had under 20 active cases was on July 10.

As of Tuesday’s report, Oathout also noted there was only one individual hospitalized, and overall the county has had a total of 3,951 confirmed positive cases.

Despite the drastic improvement in metrics, Oathout did report three additional deaths over the past week – one on Feb. 10 and two more on Feb. 11. This brings the county’s overall total of those lost to COVID-19 up to 81.

In Monroe County, Health Department Administrator John Wagner on Feb. 16 noted that the county was up to a total of 4,013 confirmed positive cases, with 21 individuals hospitalized.
