The Musketeers improved to 4-2 Friday night with a pounding of conference rivals Dupo in Red Bud’s 2023 Homecoming game. The record reflects a forfeit win against Sparta in week five due to the Bulldogs lack of a varsity squad.

This week the game began with the Tigers winning the coin toss and receiving the opening kick. The Red Bud defense was stingy about giving up any yards on the ground so the Tigers turned to their passing game; that didn’t work either. On a third and long play, the Dupo quarterback dropped back to pass, but Red Bud linebacker Lucas Schwartzkopf intercepted the ball at the Red Bud 45 and returned it 55-yards for a touchdown.
