The fifth annual library crawl invites patrons to explore new libraries throughout the Illinois Heartland Library System, which encompasses the state’s southern half. The crawl also demonstrates a library card’s benefits, allowing users to check out materials from the libraries they visit.
Over 150 central and southern Illinois libraries are participating in the event, which runs from Oct. 1 through Oct. 31. Participating local libraries include: Red Bud, Coulterville, Chester, Steeleville, Sparta, Marissa, New Athens, Morrison-Talbott (Waterloo), Columbia, Millstadt, Smithton and Freeburg.
