John G. Nicholson, 87, of Ellis Grove, passed away at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, at Carlyle Healthcare and Senior Living in Carlyle. It was John’s wish to be cremated. A Celebration of Life and burial at Gilbert Cemetery in Ames will take place at a later date. Pechacek Funeral Homes in Red Bud is in charge of arrangements.
