Back in 2008, with “a desire to inspire the area’s youth and teach them to enjoy the outdoors and our hunting and angling traditions,” the Hit-N-Miss Foundation was formed.
However, after about a decade of helping local youth build a love of the outdoors, the original group was starting to think of quitting. So in 2019, a new group decided to take up the cause and put new life into the organization. Since then they’ve made it bigger and better each year.
Hit-N-Miss Secretary Matt Price recently gave an update on the organization to the North County News.
He noted that one of the first things the new board for the organization did in 2019 was officially make it a 501(c)(3) non-profit. They also decided to not only do an event for youth deer season, but add one for the spring youth turkey season.
