HELD TOWN HALL EVENT–State Representative David Friess, center, is pictured with other officials discussing the scour hole situation at a town hall event on Sept. 9.
On Sept. 9, State Representative David Friess was joined by state and local officials to discuss urgent updates about the scour hole threatening the Stringtown Levee near Prairie du Rocher.
Held at the American Legion Hall in Prairie du Rocher, the town hall brought together representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA), Monroe County officials, State Senator Terri Bryant and others to review the status of the scour hole and discuss stalled funding solutions needed to address it. Friess and Bryant again urged Governor JB Pritzker to act before it’s too late.
