It was a beautiful day on Monday, so there was a good turn out for the annual Red Bud Memorial Day event held at Ratz Memorial Park.
The guest speaker at this year’s event was Colonel Courtney Finkbeiner, Air Mobility Command, Deputy Command Surgeon at Scott Air Force Base.
Finkbeiner noted that our country’s freedom and security has been paid for by the blood, sweat and tears of many over the years.
