Evansville looking for Citizen of Year

There will be a change up in festivals this year, as the Evansville Fire Department is making plans for their annual rally and to bring back the Citizen of the Year.

At Monday night’s Evansville Village Board meeting, Trustee Darren Kempfer asked if the village could bring back the Citizen of the Year Award at their upcoming rally.

The past few years, the rally had been held in September, but this year it will be on Aug. 12 from noon to 6 p.m. As in the past, all vehicle types will be welcome and can signup starting at 10 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus hall.
