Water plant issues and annexation were the big topics of discussion at the Evansville Board meeting on Monday, Feb. 12.
Trustee Travis Hall noted that there has been some structural damage identified at the water plant, so they are looking into collecting bids and determining the best way to proceed.
When asked about what the damage was, Hall elaborated that the support beams at the water plant are rusting and weakening. He said there is no danger of the water plant coming down at this time, but the beams have rusted over the years and now need repair. The plan for now is to get engineers to look at the building and to get quotes for repairs.
