COUNTY ENGINEERS–As Mike Riebeling, at right, will be retiring as the Randolph County engineer, at their meeting on Friday the Randolph County Board of Commissioners appointed Grant Deterding, at left, as his replacement.
Next month, Randolph County will have a new county engineer.
At their July 7 meeting, the Randolph County Board of Commissioners approved of a resolution to appoint Grant Deterding of Rockwood as the new county engineer, effective on Aug. 1.
Mike Riebeling has served as the county’s engineer for 33 years and is retiring at the end of his current contract on Aug. 1. Because of this, the commissioners began the process of replacing Riebeling earlier this year.
