Coach Lucht chosen to coach at Illinois High School Shriners game

SHRINERS GAME–The 51st Annual Illinois High School Shriners football game was held June 21 at Illinois Wesleyan University. Red Bud High School Football Coach David Lucht was chosen an assistant coach for this year’s blue team. Lucht, second from right, is pictured with blue team coaches (not in order) Brian Glashagel of Antioch, Brian Zimmermann of Algonquin, Shawn Skinner of St. Joseph Ogden, Wade Devries of Roxana and Jeffrey Vlk of Buffalo Grove.

The Illinois High School Football Coaches Association held its 51st Annual Illinois High School Shriners game on June 21. The game was held at Tucci Stadium on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University.

The all star game featured nearly 100 of the top graduated football players from across the state in the Class of 2025. The game is hosted by the Peoria chapter of Shriners International, the Heart of Illinois Shriners, plus other chapters across the state. Proceeds and awareness raised by the game help Shriners Hospitals for Children in St. Louis and Chicago.
