Red Bud High School Senior Makayla Bievenue recently committed to cheer at SWIC. She made SWIC’s game day and competition teams and earned a scholarship that covers her tuition since she is on the competitive team. Bievenue, who has been a part of cheerleading for eight years, chose SWIC to stay close to family. She plans to enroll in the nursing program to become a RN.
“We are so proud of Makayla that she gets to go to school for free and continue to do what she loves. She has already been to a few practices and dinner with the team. I can’t wait to see where this opportunity takes her,” said Red Bud High School Cheer Coach Miki Friess.
