Last Friday, Tracie E. Behiter again appeared in the Randolph County Courthouse for a pretrial hearing, however she opted to enter a plea.
Behiter, 46, of Coulterville, is the former clerk for the Village of Baldwin and was facing felony charges of theft and official misconduct. The theft charge, a Class 1 felony, alleged that she had taken more than $10,000 but less than $100,000 from the village. The official misconduct charge noted she took the funds without authorization and is a Class 3 felony.
