The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office reported that on Sept. 30, Weston R. Baird, 24, of Marissa, was arrested for the offense of home invasion stemming from an incident allegedly occurring in rural Baldwin on Sept. 30.
The preliminary investigation indicates Baird allegedly forced entry into the residence and struck the homeowner/victim several times with a hatchet. The victim was able to disarm Baird, at which time Baird left the residence.
