Chris Vandeford, LPN at Red Bud Health Clinic, part of Red Bud Regional Hospital, was honored this quarter with The DAISY Award® For Extraordinary Nurses. The award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s programs to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day.
Vandeford received a nomination from a patient’s mother which stated, “My son had excruciating pain when he came to the walk in clinic. Chris immediately took him to a room, was very kind and showed wonderful compassion. My son’s pain was in an area of his body that could have led to embarrassment. Chris handled the situation very professionally and with great compassion. I am so thankful for our little town’s hospital and for compassionate and professional care by nurses like Chris.”
