A special recognition and discussion of the Illinois separation movement were the biggest parts of the May 22 Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting.
Receiving special recognition was Adrienne Vallett, the daughter of Casey and Tracy Vallett of Red Bud.
County Board Chairman David Holder read a letter of recognition on behalf of the board. The letter noted that Vallett “has demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, academic achievement and commitment to service through her accomplishments in her military training, higher eduction and community representation.”
