Two charged with kidnapping and theft of vehicle in Waterloo area

On Oct. 12, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported on a kidnapping and vehicle theft that recently took place in the rural Waterloo area.

The sheriff’s office noted that on Oct. 1 deputies received a call from a 60 year old male victim who stated he had been held against his will by two individuals for several hours prior to them stealing his motorcycle.

Investigators from both the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the Metro East Auto Theft Task Force found that the victim had been held at gun point against his will in the 800 block of Country Club Lane outside Waterloo for several hours on Sept. 29.
