Twelfth Night Ball will be held Saturday in Prairie du Rocher

Christmas season is not over yet in Prairie du Rocher.

The French settlers of this area were Catholic. After a four week period of prayer, called Advent, Christmas celebrations began on Christmas Day and ended with Epiphany, on Jan. 6. On the evening of Epiphany, the Twelfth Night Ball was held. The tradition survives today.
