Last Friday, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced their COVID-19 guidance for schools to use this fall. Red Bud School District Superintendent Jonathan Tallman then announced the plans for the Red Bud School District in an email to parents on July 13.
In the email, Tallman noted that this year, school will resume the traditional schedule and be in session all day with 3 p.m. dismissals.
While the school district will be following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and IDPH guidance of recommending face coverings for all individuals who are unvaccinated, they will not be requiring anyone to wear face coverings.
However, per the CDC and IDPH, face coverings will still be required on buses for all regardless of vaccination status.
