The weather wasn’t exactly favorable to play ball last week, but the Musketeer softball team did salvage a couple of games against Nashville and Alton.
The team traveled to Nashville on May 5 and fell 11-0.
“The Nashville loss was a tough one because really the game was a lot closer than the score dictates. Lyla Hess threw great only allowing one ER on a solo home run in the first inning. She tweaked her ankle on a pitch in the bottom of the fourth so we took her out and brought Danielle Schmitz in and we just kind of let the wheels fall off in the fifth inning,” said Coach Brian Boeving.
“I thought we took some good at-bats against a pitcher who threw pretty well for them,” he added.
