ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING–Area first responders participated in an active shooter training held at the Chester Public Grade School earlier this month.
Randolph County Sheriff Jarrod Peters reported that earlier this month, area law enforcement, firefighters, EMS and telecommunicators spent a day training for an active shooter incident.
This training was the result of a joint effort among local police, fire and EMS agencies to coordinate and plan a strategic response to large-scale incidents like an active shooter.
