Last week, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to several serious accidents.
On the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 12, it was reported that Monroe County deputies responded to three accidents. The most serious one was reported around 8 a.m. on State Route 3, south of KK Road and near Crook Road, between Red Bud and Waterloo.
The Illinois State Police reported that Tina Fundoukos-Singh, 54, of Ballwin, MO, had been traveling south on State Route 3 in a 2014 Honda Civic. The vehicle ran off the road to the left, stuck the ditch and then several trees. During the crash, the vehicle was split and the driver ejected.
