SPEAKING OUT FOR EAC–With a large crowd behind him, Evansville Attendance Center seventh grader Jack White is pictured reading a poem to the Sparta District School Board, urging them to not close his school.
A statement from the board and a poem read by a seventh grade student were among the biggest moments at last week’s public hearing concerning the future of Evansville Attendance Center.
The hearing held on Oct. 21 at Sparta Lincoln School (SLS) was the second in a series held by Sparta Community Unit School District 140 about the possible closure of Evansville Attendance Center (EAC).
Like the first, which had been held on Oct. 5 at EAC, this hearing was extremely well attended.
