Changes to the Cahokia Conference bylaws were discussed at the Dec. 15 Red Bud Board of Education meeting.
High School Principal Alan Guehne presented the board with a spreadsheet and noted that the conference directors had been discussing the issue of pay for game officials.
“Many others have significantly increased what they’re paying, so at the end of last year, the conference directors started looking at what schools were paying,” Guehne said. He added that after looking at the information, they are now discussing a conference wide pay schedule, so that all of the schools in the conference have the same rate of pay for officials.
