Last week, the Red Bud Board of Education decided to move forward with the solar project through GRP.
The board had previously discussed the project at their April and May meetings, with Laura Weber of GRP present to provide information and answer questions.
Superintendent Jonathan Tallman noted that this was “a significant project,” putting solar panels on both the elementary and high school buildings. He added that while there have been incentives to add solar for a while, new recent incentives for municipalities will provide huge benefits to both the school district and to the city.
