On Jan. 16, during an originally unscheduled court appearance, Zachary A. Runge agreed to take a plea offer.
Runge, now 37, was initially charged on Jan. 10, 2023 with two counts of criminal sexual assault.
It was noted that Randolph County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a home in Prairie du Rocher on Jan. 4, 2023, at approximately 10 p.m. for a report of sexual assault, however the alleged perpetrator, Runge, was no longer on scene.
