Red Bud School Board approved several hires at last week’s meeting

Despite the stormy weather and a tornado warning for the local area, the Red Bud School Board held a brief meeting on April 18. Staff changes made up the biggest portion of the meeting.

Last month, High School Principal Alan Guehne had asked the board to allow him to post for two special education teacher positions. At the time, he also shared that it might be hard to find two teachers.

This month however, he was excited to share that he was rather fortunate and had secured “two really good finds.” After sharing their qualifications, he recommended to the board that they hire Kayla Mueth and Larry Piwnicki as special education teachers for the next school year.
