The Musketeers went to Valmeyer last week to take on the Pirates. Max Diewald started and was stellar, allowing only four hits and one run. Diewald also struck out six. Noah Gantner had four hits on the afternoon and led the Musketeers to a 10-6 victory.
Red Bud’s next game was Monday the 9th against the Carlyle Indians. Ace Thomas Friess got his second start of the season against the Indians and was successful again, going six innings and striking out 10 batters. Easton Lucht and Devin Hall raked in the hits, with Hall going deep for one of his two hits. Red Bud swept Carlyle and got the win 8-3.
