After seeing what is happening with the Waterloo splash pad project, the Red Bud City Council on Monday night approved a resolution to move forward with the splash pad project here.
The city had hired Farnsworth Group, Inc. in August last year to write an Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant application for the city.
In July of this year, the City of Red Bud received notification that they had been awarded a $400,000 OSLAD grant through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) for the “Ratz Park revitalization project.” The project, with a total estimate of $800,000, includes a splash pad.
