Over the weekend, the Red Bud Police responded to a call where shots had been fired, but no one was reported as injured.
According to the incident report, Red Bud Detective Tyler Cleland was dispatched on Sept. 25 around 10:30 p.m. to a residence on West South 4th Street for a call of shots fired. While en route to the location, he was advised that the suspect had fired a shot and then left.
Upon arrival, Cleland met with four individuals, which included the suspect’s sister and girlfriend.
They stated that Patrick D. G. Bowen, 25, of Steeleville, had come over to that location and was arguing with his sister. During the argument, Bowen allegedly pushed his sister, then went to his truck and retrieved a 9 mm handgun. They added that he then approached his sister, put the gun to his side and shot one round into the gravel driveway.
