RB Council held brief meeting Monday

The Red Bud City Council held a brief meeting on Monday night, with most of the evening’s items addressed on the consent agenda.

Approved on the consent agenda were: an intergovernmental agreement with the Red Bud Public Library and ordinance, allowing the library to borrow money until real estate tax funds come in; for the YMCA to reserve the soccer fields; the requests from the Muskets for their annual homecoming events at Lincoln Park on Oct. 10-13; the completion of the six month probationary period for city employee Darryl Smith; a training request for city employee Matt Shields to attend the underground distribution workshop, with a cost of $75; concrete program requests from St. Peter UCC and Ratzkeller/Blossom City Bowl; the proposal from Korte-Litjohan for the west clarifier repair, with the cost at $21,810; to advertise for a part time meter reader; the request from the Lion’s Club for a walkway to their pavilion at the Lion’s Club Park, using Henry Thielen Funds for materials; and the release of executive session minutes from the July 2, 2019, Aug. 20, 2018, Feb. 24, 2011 and Jan. 7, 2019 meetings.
