Several ordinances were approved at Monday night’s Red Bud City Council meeting, with most not receiving much discussion as they were on the consent agenda for the evening.
First on the list of approved ordinances was one prohibiting kratom.
Back at the November committee meetings, Police Chief John Brittingham asked the council to consider moving forward with drafting an ordinance to ban the sale of kratom in the city. And at the December committee meetings, the council approved of drafting an ordinance.
