On Sunday, May 22, St. John’s Lutheran Church and School will observe the retirement of long-time principal and teacher Deitt Schneider with a dinner and program starting at noon in the school’s old gym.
Schneider is a native of Venedy and graduated from Okawville High School. She continued her education at Concordia Teachers College in River Forest, where she graduated in 1976 with a bachelors degree in elementary and secondary education. She later received a masters degree in administration from that same school.
