The Red Bud Musketeers boys basketball team played in the Trico Tournament last week, playing Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Our boys looked locked in early and rarely let up. The first game Monday night was against the hometown Trico Pioneers. The Pioneers had a size advantage down low, but that didn’t deter the Musketeers.

In the first quarter, the Pioneers kept things close with some solid defense, holding the Musketeers to an 8-8 tie. Senior forward Sam Easter landed a couple of early three pointers to keep things tight. But the second quarter was an avalanche that Trico couldn’t quell.
