Montroy selected to attend Women in Criminal Justice Conference

Last week, it was announced that recent Red Bud High School graduate Jaydian Montroy had been selected to attend the 16th Annual Illinois -Women in Criminal Justice Conference, a highly selective statewide event dedicated to advancing women in the criminal justice profession.

In a press release on Jan. 15, State Representative David Friess announced Montroy’s selection.

Friess shared that the Illinois Women in Criminal Justice Conference, hosted by the ILETSB Executive Institute, is now in its 16th year and brings together professionals from across the state’s justice system. Each year, Heather Hotz, director of the ILETSB Executive Institute, selects one participant from across Illinois to receive a full waiver, including registration and two nights of accommodations. Montroy was chosen from a competitive field of nominees for this honor.
