Red Bud Elementary student Johnny McClellan recently placed fifth in the nation for seventh grade science at the BETA National Convention.
This year the convention was done online through virtual testing.
McClellan qualified for the National Convention by placing first in seventh grade science at the virtual BETA State Convention.
He is the son of Ryan and Jamie McClellan.
